In today’s digital-heavy age, book cover design trends go in rapidly-evolving waves.
These waves evolve, however, even more rapidly among the young adult market. With smartphones, social media, and the plethora of other distractions in vogue with so many teens, gaining and keeping attention can prove a challenge.
Despite the difficulties, however, the YA market has proven quite plentiful with titles such as Twilight and The Hunger Games filling bookstands abroad.
Regardless of whether you’re writing, have written, plan to write a YA fiction title (or even if you don’t), it’s valuable to take a moment and explore the market’s current trends.
This in mind, I’ve decided to round-up a list of current YA fiction book cover designs to give a little insight into what teens are buying in today’s market.
Dark Overall Theme

Strong Female Emphasis

I am a newly published indie author. My book and cover is on Amazon.com – The Kings Prophecy – I have only had 1 or 2 comments about the cover of my book not being suited for the ya market. I have come up with several ideas to change the cover but dont really know what to do. I am also on a small budget. I am seeking advice what to do for a new cover, but would also like a professional opinion of the current cover please.
Thank you
