This is a Writely Designed quick tip.
A book’s subtitle plays the important role of clarifying the title.
Because of this, it’s not uncommon for authors and publishers alike, to desire a prominent subtitle, sometimes even near the size of the title.
It’s important to remember, however that in attempting to make everything stand out, often, nothing will.
Instead, leave a considerable difference in size between a book’s title and subtitle using this rule of thumb: have the title shout and the subtitle to whisper.
